Training students to be exam smart, Success Stage 1 focuses on all MOE curriculum requirements for Primary 1, 2 and 3, developing independent and proficient communicators.
Success Stage 1
(suitable for P1 to P3 students)
Success Stage 1 is a complete literacy programme catering to primary school students who are competent, independent readers. Focus activities throughout the structured WorkBooks develop your child’s advanced English language abilities in all language components, primarily in the areas of Composition Writing, Grammar and Vocabulary Usage, Stimulus-based Conversation, Reading Aloud, Written Comprehension and Examination Preparation.
Developing Advanced Language Skills
Your child needs a rich language environment in which they sequentially develop a strong foundation in all aspects of English communication.
All activities in Success 1, 2 and 3 WorkBooks are geared towards progressively developing your child's skills in preparation for the PSLE.
Complementing individual attention and feedback from our teachers, the style of the tasks and questions within the WorkBook activities follow the primary schools’ examination requirements and the STELLAR criteria, guiding your child to achieve their personal best in their respective final-year examination.
Training students to be exam smart, Preparation for PSLE prepares Primary 4 and 5 students for the PSLE through a strategically-designed methodology and in-depth language activities.
Success Stage 2
(suitable for P4 and P5 students)
(Preparation for PSLE)
Preparation for PSLE focuses strategically on developing exam skills for the 14 key language components of the PSLE English Language exam, preparing students for the final stage, PSLE Success (Success Stage 3).
Working to further improve your child’s strengths while overcoming their challenges, your child is introduced to the style of language activities they will encounter, and on which they will be assessed, in the PSLE.
Through modelling, explanation and examples, language skills are explicitly taught before assisted practice develops students’ understanding and confidence.
Preparation for PSLE
While a strong foundation in English and oral communication skills is essential for a successful PSLE result, it is not sufficient.
Your child needs to understand the MOE PSLE exam components and mastery of exam tips and strategies. This is difficult to achieve in a classroom with a high student-teacher ratio typical of a school setting.
LCentral’s small class sizes, specialised teaching techniques, and motivational teachers will cater to your child's learning needs so that your child can confidently advance to Primary 6 to conquer the final exam in primary school, PSLE.
Empowering students to excel, PSLE Success teaches students high-level English language communication skills while giving them exam practice strategies for competently and confidently sitting the PSLE exam.
Success Stage 3
(suitable for P6 students)
PSLE Success intensively covers all aspects of the English language exam.
Full-length practice tests, Continuous and Situational Writing models and individualised teacher feedback give students the opportunity to confidently achieve their personal best in their PSLE and school examinations.
Mastering the English Language and PSLE
Understanding the exam criteria, and confidently and effectively mastering the primary school leaving examination cannot be overstated.
PSLE Success empowers your child by enhancing their English proficiency and refining their exam-mastery skills through specific training in the following areas:
• Systematic instruction in all language components
• Situational and Continuous Writing models
• Exam-savvy tips and time-management skills
• Reading Aloud and Stimulus-based Conversation
• Intensive exam practice
LCentral teachers, trained in the specialised delivery of LCentral’s programmes, play a critical role in educating, motivating and inspiring your child, making the most of every teaching moment.
Small Class Sizes
LCentral guarantees small class sizes with a maximum of 10 students enrolled in any class. Small class sizes allow for maximum personal engagement and individual attention and feedback, while also facilitating active participation in group discussions, the communicative approach to learning, and the nurturing of oral communication skills.
MOE Assessment Criteria
LCentral rigorously applies MOE’s assessment criteria to evaluate your child’s strengths or areas for improvement. As the standard for measuring a student’s academic achievement, these guidelines are imparted to your child in every lesson, providing meaningful insight to accurately gauge their performance to help them achieve their personal best both at school and in examinations.
Our comprehensive WorkBooks are designed with teacher-guided activities that progressively develop your child’s essential language skills in a carefully scaffolded process that propels them to meet or exceed the learning outcomes for each respective primary level.
All Success WorkBooks are embedded with values education and cultivate independent learning skills.
LCentral maintains high standards when monitoring and tracking students’ progress. Your child's individual performance is regularly recorded through a process of effective and systematic progress tracking.
Through ongoing outcomes-based assessments, teachers identify strengths and specific areas for improvement. The written comments (feedback) in WorkBooks guide your child to meet the learning outcomes as per the MOE Assessment Criteria, and also make the WorkBooks an ongoing record of the teaching and learning process that has taken place in the classroom.
With the combination of these effective methods of progress tracking, LCentral is able to provide comprehensive insights to you on your child’s progress, strengths and areas for improvement.
